Want to use practical connectivity features in your Volkswagen*, but don’t have We Connect or Car-Net in your vehicle? No problem. Together with our DataPlug**, the ‘We Connect Go’ app connects you instantly with your new vehicle or model from 2008 onwards. That’s plug and play connectivity from Volkswagen.

An overview of the benefits for you:
- Display various vehicle data, warning symbols and upcoming service intervals
- Volkswagen authorised workshops, appointment scheduling and navigation are just a click away
- Greater safety in an emergency thanks to direct contact with the national 24-hour breakdown service or the Volkswagen service hotline
- Digital tools such as a fuel monitor or electronic logbook with automatic recording and export function
- Drive more efficiently and save fuel with statistics, driving style analysis and challenges

Download the free app, simply insert the DataPlug into your vehicle’s diagnostic connection, register in the app and connect your smartphone to your Volkswagen via Bluetooth.

Despite first reporting issues with this app just over two weeks ago, and trying suggested resolutions, this app still refuses to play ball! Currently, it refuses to END TRIP, despite my best efforts. Likewise, when I start the ignition on my next trip, it refuses to connect!! Sort this piece of garbage out!! 🤬🤬🤬

Just received info that the app is slated to be terminated at the end of 2025. I am not surprised that VW is finally pulling the plug on a mediocre service. The app has not been functional for more than a year, with 95% of the trips not being recorded since the app is not able to set a connection with the DataPlug. I'm not sure if the problem was in the end the OBD plug or the app itself (maybe not compatible with recent Android updates), but in the end, nobody will miss the service.

I want to like this app but some simple problems prevent that from happening. First it doesn't seem to be very reliable and journeys I start to get badges don't complete. Second when I tether my phone to the car to use car-net the WLAN feature doesn't work. I have no problems with tethering my families laptops, tablets and stuff. My wife's iPhone works fine so I don't know what the root cause is. I have a OP5 running android 9. Thank you.
