Philips Smart TV

Control the volume, easily type in text, and even control Ambilight. To get started, connect your smart device to the same network as your Philips TV.

With the Philips Smart TV app you can:
- change channels and control the TV volume
- control Ambilight on your TV, or your Philips Hue lights
- easily launch and switch between TV apps
- control the movie, TV show, or song that’s playing
- quickly enter text, email addresses, and passwords using the keyboard

Compatibility
This app is fully compatible with Philips Smart TVs released from 2019 onwards and offers some compatibility for older TVs. For best performance, please make sure your TV has downloaded the latest firmware. For gameplay, we recommend using the remote included with your Philips Smart TV.

After years. They finally got this app working. Then about a month ago they killed it. Clunky menus, having to click menu after menu just to get into the remote. Now after a week it just has a loading arrow when I choose my TV. You need to revert back to the old version devs, cos this ain't it.

After update my tv (43pus7805) doesn't turn on by this app, only when I turn on tv by remote control this app connects to tv Upd. Spring 2024: after update can't use ambilight with this app. Worse with every new update Update 24.10.2024: each update worse, why do you need my location data!? I can turn on ambilight, but can't turn off. What wrong with you? Return app from 2020

App was redesigned and is now terrible. Clearly no user research done, extra steps added, weird features pushed over the more useful ones, inefficient, clunky design. Very poor. It's now easier to go find the physical remote than it is to use the app. Id give zero stars if I could.
