One Shade will replace your phone's notification bar with a modern, fully customisable version. In addition to a new personalised experience, it also brings extra utilities that can make your life easier.

One Shade app uses the AccessibilityService API to provide the best possible experience.
- We do not collect any personal information through accessibility services.
- We will not read your screen's sensitive data or any content.
- For this app to function properly, we need the Accessibility Permission. Accessibility services are required to receive a response from the system when the top of the screen is touched to trigger the shade and to retrieve window content: Required for automatic clicking of some settings after the user chooses they want to toggle them in the app-provided interface.

Ratings and reviews

Actually consistently overrides the system shade now, finally! Update: sometimes shade comes down while I'm using my phone and covers whatever I was doing, likely in response to a notification. Really annoying bug. Also, not fully compatible with Android 14. Cant e.g. stop a screen recording because One Shade has taken over interaction with the top of the screen. Update: still randomly covers my screen, interfering with what I'm doing. Dropping rating to one star and uninstalling

Amazing, but one slight problem. You can't see if something is on or off on the notification bar. For example: Dolby Atmos for the S10. I click it and the screen does nothing. Although it works, I would love to see if it's on or off, and not by the sound quality. Another is the fingerprint gestures for the S10e. I swipe on the finger sensor and it half way brings up the notification panel, instead off fully bringing it down on the One UI version.

One year later, still missing a huge feature. FONT SIZE. Font is much bigger than original Android font for Quick Access Items... Wish the app would allow font adjustment, not just icon size adjustment! Everything splits into two lines: "Airp" on top "lane mode" on bottom. "Auto-ro" on top line, "tate" on bottom row. Etc. Also! When you turn off screen while shade is pulled down, you can't turn the screen back on for 5 seconds. Bug in new version? Deeper issue? I don't know
