So i didn't exactly attempt to utilize this apps planning features. It does seem like a goodish app to organize a day or two of a vacation where everyone is doing the same things. But useless when trying to coordinate multiple people from multiple locations. I mainly wanted to look at the "events" and types of "things to do" and this app blows for that. Its basically the same BS that every other event site/app/calendar offers (bar crawls, scavenger hunts, and lame tours). Zero local promotions.

This is a review of the website AND app experience, as the app is just a companion to the website itself for now. Visit A City. Com provides me with everything I need to make just about the most precise itinerary ever. I love how highly customizable it is. Adding breaks for dining, hotel departing times, adding notes to the attractions, and even scheduling tours and day trips. The interface is very easy to use, even on my old slow laptop. I can't wait for the app to be exactly like the desktop website as that would make me mark this as the definitive must have travel website and app. I hope to see improvements in the area of choosing between walking to the destination or taking public transit instead of it choosing for me. I would also like to be able to add notes to the hotel as I can for all the other stops on the itinerary. I love being able to add my own attractions, that is a huge selling point. The app basically just allows you to view the itinerary I made, not edit it. PLEASE, PLEASE make the app just like the website, it's such a wonderful tool to not be able to edit from my smartphone. Keep up the good work, visit a city, you are truly the best travel organizer!

Hi, thanks for the great feedback. A new version of the app allowing editing capability will be out soon, probably by the end of this month.

I really like this app but the location thing is really intrusive. Sometimes I just want to check what suggested itineraries there are for a city I'm planning to visit so if I choose to not share my location, I would think it shouldn't be a problem. But when I select not to share my location, the prompt just keeps popping up. And when I leave to go home or sth, it actually goes over that too until I completely close it. A bit annoying. Otherwise, it's a great starting point for researching.
