About this app

INDOT Trafficwise is the Indiana Department of Transportation's official traffic and traveler information app. The INDOT Trafficwise app provides statewide up-to-date traffic information for interstates, U.S. routes, and state highways in Indiana.

FEATURES:

• Hands-free, eyes-free audio notifications of traffic events while you drive
• A zoom-enabled map with tappable traffic event icons and surrounding camera views
• Near real-time updates on traffic incidents, construction, truck restrictions, flooding, and road closures
• Manage My INDOT personalized accounts including saved routes, areas, favorite camera views, and email and text alerts
• View current traffic speeds
• View traffic camera still shots and streaming video throughout the state.
• Sign up for a My INDOT account to save cameras for easy access.
• View images from plows as well as their current location
• View information from weather stations throughout the state
• Access additional traveler information resources from the "Menu"

NOTE: Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease device battery life.

The primary responsibility of every driver is the safe operation of their vehicle. Take a while to get used to. I wish getting a higher resolution 720p or 1080p be possible. I understand that some connections may be slow, but at least have an option. Second, I wish I could be able to unlock cameras on other states since I travel quite often, and the moment I leave IN the app becomes useless. I like to test apps, and this one by far for traffic, road information around where I live and constantly on the road have become quite useful and no ADs to annoy me while driving is 100

I use this app almost daily & I love it! The only complaints I have are: 1.) Camera video quality is not great, ESPECIALLY at night. At night, vehicles look like blurry blobs of either white or red depending on direction of travel relative to the position of the camera. 2.) Please do away w the "max stream duration"!! I hate that it stops after 30 or 60sec. Such a pain. **Also, since most recent update, it only streams for about 2-4 seconds before it stops. Please fix! 3.) Audio maybe?

Great app! The only complaint I really have is that when there are two cameras close to each other it can be hard to tell which one you actually clicked on. Additionally, If there's any possibility of having a better indicator of which direction a camera feed is pointing that would also be great. Other than that, all I can say is way to go INDOT, I love seeing state agencies actually having useful apps.

What's new

- Updated the maximum duration for streaming video to 2 minutes. To restart the stream, press the play button.
- Fixed an issue that caused the app to crash when tapping on a plow icon.
- Updated the Report a Concern link on the main menu page to go to the newly launched Report a Concern form.
