About this app

MEGA provides user-controlled encrypted cloud storage that’s accessed with web browsers and dedicated apps for mobile devices. Unlike other cloud storage providers, your data is encrypted and decrypted by your client devices only and never by us.

Upload files from your smartphone or tablet, then search, download, stream, view, share, rename or delete them from any device, anywhere. Share folders with your contacts and see their updates in real time.

MEGA’s strong and secure end-to-end encryption means we cannot access or reset your password. You MUST remember the password and make sure to back up your account Recovery Key. Losing your password and the account Recovery Key will result in lost access to your files.

Use the included MEGA Secure Chat for end-to-end-encrypted communications, including video and audio calls, with total privacy. Chat history synchronises automatically across multiple devices and you can also easily add files to, and from the MEGA Cloud drive.

MEGA offers a generous 20 GB free storage for all registered users. You can get even more storage in 5 GB increments through our MEGA achievements program.

Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same duration at the same price as the initial period chosen. To manage your subscriptions, simply tap on the Play Store icon on your device, sign in with your Google ID (if you haven’t already done so), then tap on the MEGA app.

MEGA is an outstanding cloud storage app offering a generous 20GB of free storage,with end-to-end encryption enduring maximum privacy.Its user-friendly interface makes uploading and sharing files seamless. The app also supports automatic photo and video backups, ensuring your memories are always safe. The synchronization across devices is smooth and reliable ,but occasional connectivity issues can arise. The premium plans are competitively priced , offering substantial storage increase.

Overall it's functional, but the lack of any ability for sorting remote folders is a deal breaker. It's available in the desktop browser, and even in the mobile browser. But if I'm trying to manage a folder and want to sort by size, date, etc I find it pitiful that I have to open it first through the browser, then sort by whatever it is I want, find the filename and then open the app to manage the file. Why is there no way to do something as simple as filtering and sorting of files.

The app was perfect but like others have mentioned, changes that I'm sure no one asked for have started being implemented. For instance, the undeletable folder "My chat files". I have chat as disabled and the folder won't delete. Another, is that they recently must've removed Natural Order sorting and now my file order like: 1, 10, 11, etc 2, 20, 21, etc. This absolutely breaks all of my organization in my files and it's not like MEGA has a bulk renamer integrated to fix that within the app.
