About this app

Open source network observation, positioning, and display client from the world's largest queryable database of wireless networks. Can be used for site-survey, security analysis, and competition with your friends. Collect networks for personal research or upload to https://wigle.net. WiGLE has been collecting and mapping network data since 2001, and currently has over 350m networks. WiGLE is *not* a list of networks you can use.

* Uses GPS to estimate locations of observed networks
* Observations logged to local database to track your networks found
* Upload and compete on the global WiGLE.net leaderboard
* Real-time map of networks found, with overlays from entire WiGLE dataset
* Free, open source, no ads (pull requestes welcome at https://github.com/wiglenet/wigle-wifi-wardriving )
* Export to CSV files on SD card (comma separated values)
* Export to KML files on SD card (to import into Google Maps/Earth)
* Bluetooth GPS support through mock locations
* Audio and Text-to-Speech alerting and "Mute" option to shut off all sound/speech

Does exactly what it always has. The one stars are mostly from people that dont understand how this app, or triangulation works. It records your position and signal strength of wifi devices it sees. By moving around it takes the change in signal strength and calculates a devices likely distance. It does not magically know where every AP is. Nothing can, thats not how wifi works. Devs dont sweat the dullards, random platform issues aside(ala google), on every device ive used it works perfectly.

Love your app! If someone thinks they're being hacked, or have been, your app tells it all. And, mapping where the spies are targeting makes for invalable proof the spies can't deny. My hackers keep deleting your app, so an uninstall prevention setting would be nice. That should tell you that your app is a tool that makes victims into fighters for an even playing field. Thanks!

Tried to contribute but they require an account, cool, simple enough, I make an account, try to verify, get "wrong password error," try to reset password, get internal server error, all the while each step makes you do a dozen or more clicks for multiple captchas for every little thing you do. Y'all, I wanted to help but if you make it punishingly difficult to pitch in, nobody's going to want to help out.

Thanks for your interest, and sorry for the difficulty. The project sees a lot of abuse, and as flawed as they are, the Captchas are necessary. If you're encountering that level of friction, it's usually because RC thinks your internet address is bad - try a different connection.
