About this game

★ Top Developer (awarded 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015) ★
AI Factory's Backgammon is the best free Backgammon game on Android!

Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy; one of the world's classic parlour board games, played for recreation and gambling. Like Mahjong, Backgammon is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played in Mesopotamia and Egypt thousands of years ago, then by the Romans and later in India. It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the West.

I find the game challenging but very beatable even at level seven. If you look at lifetime stats, you will see that the percentage doubles thrown by a player versus the computer comes out very close. Just make sure you're playing an adequate number of games before you think that it's rigged with doubles in favor of the computer. In my case it definitely is not. Around 14-16% doubles for myself and the computer consistently

This game level 7 is unwinnable. Sure you do occasionally but computer is rigged to always hit, never get hit, doubles frequently while pairing off, never stays more then twice on bar and you can be up there at least 5 or 6 rolls. These cases are the majority of course. Not everytime but way more then usual. You almost have to play unorthodox to compete, you make the perfect logical move and the computer always beats you then. Very frustrating. It's so predictable. I can guess my roles n compute

The problem with the program is that its top levels play very well, not that it cheats. Players concerned it might cheat should run the comprehensive tests that easily and conclusively prove it does not. See aifactory.co.uk/bg.htm. Absurdly, all Backgammon programs on Google Play are accused of cheating, Its very very unlikely that any do

Ive played this game for years, and I love it, but now, I'm slowly wanting to uninstall the game. Now I don't know what's happening, but the ai is deliberately cheating. It does not allow me to jump their pieces if it's opened. It happened to me twice now and I'm getting frustrated with this game. The first time around, I thought it was a bug, but it did it again for the second time after playing a few hundred games. It's telling me I can move my pieces to other places but not the place I want.

Check the rules. Where only one move is allowed by the rolled dice, you have to make the move dictated by the higher of the two dice values. In some circumstances specific moves may be restricted so that both dice can be used. These are the rules. Please review you rating if that answers your question.
