Glimble is your travel app for all public transport in the Netherlands: whether you want to travel by bus, tram, metro or train, or want to combine different modes of transport. You can plan trips and books tickets for all carriers. From Arriva to NS and from Connexxion to GVB. Besides that, you can find shared transport in the app. For example handy scooters or shared cars.

Glimble is your travel assistant in the Netherlands. You decide how you want to travel, we find the best journey for you. Let us know if you are looking for the fastest trip by public transport, the cheapest, or maybe the most sustainable. Or are you looking for wheelchair accessible routes? It is possible to filter routes that way.

Travel from A to B in your own language - You can use travel app glimble in more than 40 languages, yours too. Of course glimble is available in Dutch and in English. But you can also use the glimble journeyplanner in Arabic, Chinese or German for example. Buying tickets is also possible in your own language of course.

Live travel advice - Glimble helps you with every step of your journey with public transport. We find the closest stop for you, tell you how to get there, explain on which platform you have to be and we give you a notification when you need to hop off the bus or train. So, with travel app glimble you will never get lost in public transport again: don’t ever get on the wrong train again or forget to disembark.

Easy ticket purchasing in the app – Once you've planned your journey, buy your ticket instantly in the app and travel with the QR code on your mobile device. You no longer need an OV-chipkaart or any other card in public transportation; glimble handles everything in one travel app. Travelling with a group? Easily add your travel companions, select them, and book tickets for them in just a few clicks. Good to know: you don’t pay any transaction fees when you buy tickets with glimble.

International payment – No more hassle with payment, such as recharging an OV-chipkaart. Pay the way you like, whether that’s with your credit card, or through PayPal, Sofort or Bancontact.

Ratings and reviews

Very helpful once you get past the learning curve. There are so many transportation options in the area that it is hard to navigate on your own. Glimble helps to simplify the process as well as purchasing and keeping up with your tickets. PRO TIP (at least for me) The bus does not automatically stop at all locations. You have to hit a stop button (located throughout the bus) just before reaching your stop.

Worst app ever. It Takes forever to scan a QR code in the Arriva bus 🚌 and sometimes it doesn't scan at all. Which is embarrassing when other passengers start staring judging you lmao.

Could not buy the correct ticket on Ameland. The search for stops is very bad as it only suggested addresses instead of bus stops, had to click on the map. And why can't I choose a time a little before the trip, so the way by foot does not count as starting time? Also why do I need internet connection to view my ticket? Don't get a confirmation mail or so as backup (pdf)? Also can't do a backup screenshot.Did the developers ever use the app?Try adding passenger and set birthday. Good luck!!!

What's new

New in this version of the app:

- Better display of departure time: in previous versions of the app, you would see the number of minutes until your train or bus left, for example 6 minutes. Instead, from now on we will show the departure time, e.g. 14:32. So it's always clear what time your train or bus leaves.

- Arrival platform: we have added which platform you will arrive on. Handy if you need to change trains or buses, for example.
