About this app

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A PETSCANNER SEPARATELY. PHONES ARE NOT PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF SCANNING PET MICROCHIPS

PetScanner - Find. Scan. Reunite.

Scanning pets and getting the microchip number is included with your PetScanner at no additional cost!

Free scanning: If the pet has a FDX-B microchip implanted, PetScanner will be able to read the microchip and display the chip number alongside these 3 possible scenarios when you scan a pet:

- If it is registered with PetScanner, it will display the contact details of the owner.
- If it is registered elsewhere, we will display which database holds information about that chip number alongside with the contact information for that database.
- If it is not registered with any database or we can not find it, it will only display the chip number

Optional registration & PetScanner Pet Protection:

When a pet is not yet registered with PetScanner it will prompt you with the option to register it with us so you can protect your pet with our system (optional):

We offer the lowest cost DEFRA-compliant microchip registration at just 2.99 (one-off payment for one pet) which allows you to update your contact and address details for FREE during the lifetime of your pet and gives you the ability to be contacted by anyone that physically scans your pet if lost or stolen.

We also offer PetScanner Pet Protection - the most advanced microchip protection for your pet. This gives you many benefits that include receiving an instant notification when your pet's chip has been scanned with a PetScanner, and also if they have been searched on any other DEFRA-compliant chip lookup tool. Our PetScanner Pet Protection starts from just 0.99 per month.

Works amazingly, really nice to use on animals scared of objects and thinks your just going to pet them! I carry my scanner everywhere! Its nice and compact! The app is easy to use with no hassle! The app itself is not the "scanner ", it is only the program needed to use the actual scanner. I highly suggest reading the description of this app before downloading and then leaving a terrible review because you didn't read. The makers of this lovely app and scanner are amazing life savers and will go so much farther! The scanner is able to scan all types of microchips too! Unlike the common Halo scanner that has limitations, bulky, and expensive!

As others have said, it works great the first time. Then it never works again. It sends an SMS message to verify the user. Support told me the contracted company only sends the SMS back ONCE. That would be the first time you use it. They said they would TRY to validate my number manually. Why can't it just scan and give me the number??? Strays just don't want to wait around while you get your technology working. Wanted to scan a cat that visits. STILL waiting for this USLESS scanner to work!

Recent updates and changes have bricked the app. Last used the USB chip reader in a August without issue. Interface has since changed and after bizarre prompts for location access (which is permitted) now leads to just a blank screen. Emails to the support team go unanswered, as do all of these low-star reviews. Latest update has changed nothing. Presumably the Devs are going to refund everyone for the cost of these useless paperweights?
