This app is terrible. It's used as a selling point on Xterra Fitness' website claiming compatibility with the TRX3500. The device connects sometimes, and if you disconnect it from the treadmill, the treadmill will be stuck in manual with no access to programs, and you have to reboot the treadmill to either reconnect the app, or even to use the equipment normally again. While it is connected, no programs show up, and you don't actually have access to any controls as advertised. Fitbit updates are broken, and when you try to use the 'music' in-app quick key it tries to launch your email. If I were able to give less than one star I would. I can only assume that the five star ratings are put in there by the company, because I could never see a user giving that rating in this app's current state.

It works....ish. App is locked to landscape mode for some reason, but it connected to my TRX3500 and worked fine as far as setting a workout or start/stop. Doesn't seem to sync data with MyFitnessPal, Withings, Strava, Google Fit or MacroFactor, which would be absolutely lovely to have. For people buying this treadmill specifically for app function, look elsewhere. However I just want to run, and that's very doable if you don't mind a clunky interface.

The key feature I wanted was to start programs from my phone... Screenshots look like it should do this, but my phone jumps from p2 to connecting to the treadmill to the workout, no choice of programs allowed. If I try to go back to the Programs tab from the workout, it tells me I cannot. Annoyed.
