With the HSL app you can buy tickets for Helsinki region public transport, find the best routes and get targeted traffic information. In the HSL app you will find e.g. single, day and season tickets for both adults and children. Bus, train, metro, tram and ferry – all with the same app. You can pay easily e.g. with a payment card.
In addition to tickets, there is also a journey planner in the HSL app. Journey planner tells you e.g. the best route and the ticket, which is needed for the route. In the HSL app, you can also see up-to-date transport information for the areas and lines you have selected.

I do not recommend this app, it fails when you must need it. I've been in Finland for about 30 days and for most of the time I've purchase an actual ticket from a local vendor. The app fails to populate ROUTES and at time it fail to populate the digital ticket. Again do not waste your time for I've lost time and money trying to use it. Get an actual ticket and use Google maps to find your way around. (T-Mobile using Telia Network as roaming) Ask phone features worked well.

Absolutely the most worthless app ever. So glitchy! Takes you to the same screen over and over again after you've pressed enter or next. Constantly asking for a verification code, I can't get them here and they won't send them via WhatsApp, to set up an account even though I'm using it as a "guest". By comparison, the Pilet.ee app in Estonia is amazing!

Hi. I apologize for the issue with registration. If you still have time please delete app and re-install. Then proceed onboarding by not creating an account (if you only need single or daily tickets). If the problem persists please contact our customer support and we will look into this with detail. It's rather frustrating that in a city that prides itself on being welcoming to foreigners, the primary app to interact with the city transit system does not allow you to register unless you have a Finnish phone number. And even worse, it does not tell you it doesn't accept foreign phone numbers. It simply does not work with no explanation why. An unbelievable oversight. My review will remain one star until this changes.
