Gameplay is side scrolling with option to manually control your ship girls or auto works pretty well. Gameplay does have a bit more depth if you really want but it's also enjoyable for casuals who don't care to put the time in. The game has a never ending progression system of equipment and ship girls. Very friendly with resources and currency. Very f2p friendly. I never felt I needed to buy any passes or packs but I only pay for l2d skins cause AL def puts a lot of effort in their skins.

Love it! The characters are funny, and I'm getting a little bit of history on the main campaign storyline. I've also learned about the older ship models under Priority Research by backing out and researching them on the web. Every ship girl's model description and class is very accurate to the real ships that have sailed and faced battles. I am very impressed, and I enjoy the characters reacting to the Commander. A lot of them are pretty funny. My top fave is Laffey, for sure.

The illustrations, story-telling and combat system are the highlights of the game, not to mention the in-depth interactions with the characters and their informative background relating to their respective historical origins. The gacha system is great with the game rewarding players so often to pull for good characters. But the game has a semi-limited amount of gems it would grant to the players, which is a tad annoying since skins need a lot of gems that are either paid for or from rare mails.

What's new

This is a mandatory update. This patch provides functional support for the new system. Several minor bugs were also fixed in the patch.
