I noticed that videos posted on Instagram Lite (either the reels or videos on the main thread) cannot be paused, stopped or scrolled to the desired time or part to continue watching if one doesn't want to start watching the video from the beginning. This feature wastes data because you must watch all videos from the beginning till end and if you can't do that, coming back later to continue from where one stops, you'll have to start watching from the beginning all over again ☹️ Neither download.

Compared to the standard Instagram the lite app loses quite a bit of flab. However, whatever is lost in MB's is added to your face in lb's during video calls as one's video appears zoomed in. The problem exists only on the lite version and is verified by the called party also. In general, Instagram has a poor interface for video calls and half the screen is devoted to seeing oneslef. The apps also use loads of data during video calls and some of us pay for data by the MB.

I like the lite version of Instagram. It feels very simple. But it is very basic version of Instagram and some of the features are not there yet. There are bugs and I believe they will fix it in the future updates. The loading is little slow but it can run in slow internet connection. Well I'm glad there is a lite version for Instagram and I really like it
