I'm skeptical of this app. It does provide some decent conversations for listening practice with the trial version, but there are many translation errors that beginners might not pick up on. For example mixing up 航空便 and 船便 in the conversation about mail. For that reason I'm choosing not to buy the full version.

Uninstalled. As a free app I think it's pretty useless if your aim is immersion as the ads constantly break it up rendering it IMO useless. Two stars because as a paid app I bet it's not that bad, I'll just go back to listening to Japanese radio. Reply: I appreciate the response. The problem isn't that there are ad's, I understand you have to make money, the problem is the sheer volume of ad's. I spend more time listening to ads than actual Japanese which renders the free version useless.

This is a very useful application for anyone who tries to learn Japanese. I was a beginner before, and by using the app, I felt very confident in my Japanese. Recently I visited Tokyo and tried to talk in Japanese, even though not that good, I can feel a lot of improvement. The exercise after each lesson is great! I bought 4 months subscription, now thinking about it, I should have bought a year instead to save money. If you are really serious about learning Japanese, buy one year license.
