Ratings and reviews

It works and gives a great amount of data BUT when I saved live data from a drive it showed just a blank screen with the play rewind fast forward and none of my 10min of driving was shown. Also when I cleared my fault codes it ended up changing my running board settings from automatic to off. After that vehicle was done I went to my other one and it was able to read but not decode the vin and it looks like I'll need to purchase a different reader because that was the vehicle I having problems

The Topdon TopScan tool and application have been working great. I use it daily on many different vehicle makes and models. The application is very easy to use and straight forward. I really love that Topdon offers frequent updates for the many different vehicle models and also, for the TopScan application itself. Which helps keep both the tool and software working. Improvements are always a plus.

Beta testing for this device. It definitely put everything else in the price range on notice. The fact that I have had less problems with this (virtually none) in beta than in some very well established and developed apps. On top of all the capabilities that are here already and knowing that a few things are still being integrated. I see this as a class leader and challenging the so-called high end devices.
