About this app

Language Transfer provides free audio courses that teach you to take control of your thought process. There's no sign-up, no ads, and nothing to pay for — just pick a language and start learning!

Available courses:

This app provides the same audio available for free on languagetransfer.org, but allows you to download tracks in advance, save your progress, and listen with your phone locked. If you're ever having trouble with the app, you can always visit languagetransfer.org or find the courses on SoundCloud and YouTube.

We collect some anonymous usage data so we can improve the app and learn about how users are engaging with the lessons. You can learn more in the About section of the app, or turn off this data collection in the Settings pane.

I've probably tried a dozen apps, and this one really clicks. The lessons are simple audio, no gamification. But after 7 units my pronunciation is much better, as is my confidence in speaking and my comprehension. The approach is similar to Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish, a book which nicely supplements this app IMO. I really can't say enough good things about it- just give it a whirl. It's free. It's such a simple and useful app.

This is an awesome resource for an English speaker learning Spanish. The audios show you how the languages connect and how to take advantage of the common ground they have. It's like real life cheat codes for language learning. I would still advise some independent study on the side to increase vocabulary, but this app is super helpful and you're going to learn a ton if you use it.

I'm learning Spanish and needed something more than just Duolingo. It thoroughly explains how to derive words and phrases without any of the guesswork or independent research required with Duo. It also provides rules and context that Duo will never or seldomly give you. I highly recommend installing it and using it as a supplement. Duo is great for hammering vocabulary, but stops there. My Spanish speaking skills literally tripled after just a handful of lessons on Language Transfer.
