The new NZZ app offers you news, analyzes and open debates on politics, business and society in a new and intuitive design. Experience the NZZ as a place for open debates, diverse opinions and independent reporting. Ratings and reviews

Pro subscriber here. Unfortunately the new and improved app shows giant photos without a real title. The newspaper is great. Had to downgrade the app and block auto-updates. The idea when reading the newspaper is for analysis, not to click on pretty pictures and see what they are about. You could have left your (paying) readers the option to choose the interface. Imho espc. people who read the pro version want to scroll between titles, not pictures that take all screenspace. Yk, we can read.

Great articles but the app is buggy. There are constant white-outs where all the text disappears. Some articles have to be accessed via a browser where you have to log in again (why??). Being exposed to ads when you already pay for the newspaper is annoying, but ads that you cannot close and blackout the entire screen are unacceptable.

Laaa-aagg It lags. It has 5 seconds to load an article - if it even loads that is. The problem was before the last design update, which i do not like as it has too many UI elements. The lagged loading of ads move the whole screen, which is jarring. Please NZZ hire someone who actually uses the app instead of all the feature creep people.
