the app freezes and doesn't give alerts for a large portion of the time. The cameras don't pick up motion a large majority of the time without me going and waving at them repeatedly. None of the "troubleshooting" options does anything to help. They are trying to force a subscription to make the system work correctly. As a whole, the product is awful and very untrustworthy. I wouldn't trust it with your safety, I know my family doesn't anymore!!!!

simple features like "turn this camera off" are sometimes just not present. The camera batteries are poor. Cameras don't always activate. Sometimes you won't get notifications for 20+ minutes about activity. The system is supposed to activate whenever I'm outside the home wifi network, sometimes it simply doesn't, or even when I directly activate it later it will show off. Cameras that I connect fail to update firmware. Indoor essential gen 2 cameras don't work at all. Don't get this product.

Another company with another obnoxious app update, designed from the ground up to try to force you into more upgrades and subscriptions. I've been weighing moving away from Arlo for some time, given all the connectivity issues I've had, but the new app is the final straw. now I have a banner, 24/7, at the top of the app saying I only pay for one camera. I very much know this. not to mention, I PAY for one camera, and I still get this banner. Thanks to the developers for making the switch easy.
