$50 a year is way too expensive for what is offered here. Free functions is so restricted as to be unhelpful but for the messages about major outages. Free is also bombarded with upgrade pitches. The UI design is not particularly logical in free mode. Nice idea just not very mature product development. I was able to preview premium for 7 days after my first post, but the experience is just not compelling.

As a commuter myself who runs this service as a passion project using my own time and money, you are getting a deal.
Also: your review contains opinions presented as facts (e.g. re "Mature" - this app is 10 years old and I have made over 3,500 documented improvements. Also you initially got 60 days of free Premium at sign up plus 7 for EACH post)

Dev wants $39.99 to access any of the useful features. The most useful feature is the track predictor, but not able to search point to point so track predictor only useful if you already know which train to take. LIRR navigator has the ability to search p2p and has track predictor and is a free (ad supported) app. Dev also couldn't delete my account when I requested. Instead, simply changed my email address to start with x_ which makes me worry about the dev's approach to user data.

Hey John - sorry we let you down. Regarding: "user data" - We first do a logical delete...and then a physical removal later on. (standard industry practice).
We would have preferred that you not promote a competitor in this review of us.
As a commuter and a techie, I stand by what I built.

This app has saved me from getting stuck in commuter traffic so many times over the years. Love how it keeps on top of the commute news before anyone else. When meeting someone new on our line; I say this is one app you need to install...I can't live without. Thx!
