I loved the first game. I like some of the new mechanics, it allows for more things to happen. It's more then just a few new cards. However, there are a few things wrong. The dueling system is quirky at best. When you understand it, it becomes way too easy. I also came across some technical problems. After turning the frog into the princess, you can still find a frog. Using the book will not do anything though, and I don't know if it's intentional or not. There is also the bug of losing for no reason. I came across this so much where I lose or gain some resources, then I get a death message when my resources are fine. If I swipe, however, the problem resource spikes up or down to make me lose. This happened so much and it cannot be intentional. Still nice when it works, but the first game was better.

Seems a lot more convoluted than the original. Results of choices made more often than not at odds with what one would intuitively expect, without explanation, to the point of extreme frustration. I want to like this game, it seems to introduce some neat concepts to the series, but having my 'reigns' repeatedly cut short because for example refusing to host a party inexplicably tanks my treasury just isn't fun

Addictive little mobile game. Trickier than it's predecessor, but the added challenge extends play time. The stylized artwork is enjoyable and fits well with the humorous writing. It can get a bit repetitive after you've played for some time, but the drive to figure out the puzzles on how to beat the game are enjoyable. Overall, a very fun, simple game that's worth the small price.
