For a while there have been bugs in the app that the 'daily refresh' of the music lessons would not be matched up with the songs actual names. Another bug is that sometimes you would get a reward but it wouldn't actually show up and you didn't actually get it. Another thing that bothers me is the Duolingo ad that has someone sitting in the restroom, and a few other ads. They don't seem appropriate, as children use this app too. Otherwise besides these things the app teaches lessons pretty well.

I have a 1,364-day streak. I just got switched from the heart to the energy system and it's awful: I can't even complete one "legendary" lesson without running out of energy, usually at the very last question (of course). Obviously a ploy to force learners to subscribe to the paid app. Every recent change has been for the worse (repetitive lessons, no explanations for mistakes, etc.). I was reluctant to let my streak go, but this does it.

You can learn something on this app, but it appears to be a cash grab. No real grammar lessons unless you shell out money, and you only get 5 mistakes (supposedly to make you pay more attention to the lesson) unless you pay for unlimited errors. And it will claw back quests you've completed. Tonight, I should have got credit for at least five quests between my desktop and phone apps, but I was only given three. I'd see the number tick up, and then back down.
