Gotham Sports is the new streaming home for the New York Yankees, the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, the New York Rangers, the New York Islanders, the New Jersey Devils, the Buffalo Sabres, and more all in one, easy-to-use app. Access to Gotham Sports includes:
o Live games and full game replays
o Hometown coverage and in-depth analysis
o Award-winning original programming and exclusive content
o Play-by-play stats and Pick-N-Play predictor game with prizes
o Gotham Sports rewards program

There are two ways fans can get access to Gotham Sports:
1. Free with an eligible cable subscription:
if you have access YES Networks and MSG Networks as part of your cable subscription, you’ll have free access to Gotham Sports. Just download the app, create a free account, and link your cable subscription account.
2. Subscribe directly to Gotham Sports:
if you don’t have access to an eligible TV subscription, you can subscribe directly in the Gotham Sports app or on https://gothamsports.com/.

Location restrictions:
o Gotham Sports will only stream games that are available on the YES Networks and MSG Network. Local blackout restrictions apply.
o League and programming restrictions require Gotham Sports mobile & tablet users to turn on location services. Gotham Sports will use location services to determine what content users are eligible to view. Gotham Sports is only available in the continental US.

Ratings and reviews

The app forces you to watch an ad before you can even tune into a live game. That alone is enough to justify the low rating, but the problems don't stop there. The app is slow, the stream constantly drops, the navigation is terrible, and it intermittently forces you to look at a bunch of uninteresting stats in a pop-up widget. The fact that this is the product my subscription fee pays for is criminal. If I had any other choice besides AM radio, I'd take it.

The mobile app for android is fine, it updates, works the way its supposed to and plays pretty cleanly. However, the app for firestick is among the worst I have ever experienced. forever timing out, always asking you to login again, then generation a code whe. you pick your TV provider and the same error code comes up over and over in a never ending circle ending with me just giving up. If you want to watch on your phone, you're golden. If You want to watch on a firestick...don't bother.

Poor, unreliable playback with Chromecast when on a great WiFi connection. Overall this app is very frustrating to use. There is no option to cast to a Chromecast without disconnecting then reenabling WiFi on my device. The update notes never say anything specific, as if they are listening. "Minor bug fixes" are the best we can expect to see in the notes.
