About this app

Let Kinsa guide you from the first sign of sickness through recovery and beyond! As seen in Apple’s “Parenthood” commercial, Parents Magazine, USA Today, Good Morning America, The New York Times, CBS This Morning, and more!

KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT
Our care recommendations give you peace of mind with age-specific fever and symptom guidance - so you can know when it’s important to take extra precaution or see a doctor.

REMEMBERS FOR YOU
Easily track temperatures, symptoms and medication for everyone in your family! Remember details such as when symptoms began, how high the fever got, or when to give another dose of medication and share it with another caregiver or your doctor.

The free Kinsa app works best with Kinsa's award-winning, pediatrician-recommended QuickCare, QuickScan, and Smart Ear thermometers, available for purchase online and in retail stores across the U.S. If you have an older Smart Stick thermometer that plugs into the headphone jack of your phone, please use the Kinsa Smart Stick app instead.

We hope your family doesn't get sick, but if they do, we'll be there to help your family feel better faster!

I really like the app. Even if I don't always use the thermometer from the company, the app is great for tracking fever and medication when my son is sick. Two improvements that I'd love to see: 1. Being able to export the events for example as a CSV file. 2. The manual temperature selector being more precise. Whenever I remove the finger from the screen, the number moves. A possible fix: whenever the user stops moving, require a minimum threshold distance to trigger change again.

I love this app and thermometer, love that the schools are involved. Very informative, gives me a weekly updates on what illnesses are currently going around. One negative thing I would have to mention is to do with the free thermo, it's pretty hard to turn it on you have to press and hold this tiny tab for it to power on, if you don't have it pushed down far enough it won't turn on. Thought mine was broken for the longest time but turns out I just wasn't pushing it down all the way

App is absolute garbage. It hardly ever allows you to connect your thermometers and if it does, it doesn't retain them so it never tracks the temperature unless you manually track it which makes all of it useless. I could do that with a cheaper thermometer and my phone. My phone's bluetooth can find the thermometers but their garbage app can't. Then when you try to ask for help, it suddenly "can't read the request" and your message disappears.

Hey Donna! We're so sorry for the trouble here. It's hard to say for sure, but it sounds like your Kinsa app hasn't been granted all the permissions it needs to "see" your thermometer. If you haven't already, please follow this guide and you'll be up and running in no time: kinsa.help/AndroidToQuickCare or kinsa.help/AndroidToSmartEar
