If you are committed to learning Norwegian this is by far the best way to get started short of taking a class that costs thousands of dollars. The method of spaced repetition used by this app is research backed and proven to help you learn. You could use Anki flash cards, but then you would miss out on Mjølnir's excellent audio samples, explanations, and pacing. Put down the Duolingo and learn for real!

Thank you John, we appreciate you pointing out the convenience of our ready-made material and audio exclusively recorded by actual natives. We refrain from using software-generated audio and we have tried to cover the variety of dialects spoken Norwegian is notorious for. Happy learning!

I recently had to switch phones and then back to the original phone. In the process, I had to also swap the Mjølnir Norwegian app and decided to just do it myself. I started having issues with duplicates and I decided to just uninstall/reinstall the app again. It made it worse as the app would close whenever I tried to start that day's lesson. I reached out to their support and Albert replied almost immediately. He verified what the issue was and knew exactly how to fix it in a timely matter.

The only frequency dictionary available for Norwegian language learning I could find to maximize useful vocabulary, and it does spaced repetition to boot. Variety of accents in the audio. I purchased a year on my iPad ($80 in 8/2024, for those complaining there's no price) and then needed to transfer to Android so I can give that iPad to a friend. There's no way to do it myself but their customer service went above and beyond to make it happen--got my progress and subscription moved over.
