About this app

Welcome to The Million Steps Challenge App

One Million Steps is an affordable fitness fundraising challenge that anyone can take part in, from any location, without previous training and raise money for good causes

It’s a hundred-day journey with mindfulness, and strengthening exercises to get you feeling good and doing good.

Individuals walk a million steps in 100 days (500 miles) while fundraising for causes they care about.

Charities receive a branded charity page with integrated fundraising, and the opportunity to widen their pool of supporters

Businesses receive affordable tools and resources to support staff health and wellbeing while fulfilling their corporate social responsibility and giving back to the community.

Use the app to:
· wirelessly sync our pedometer with your mobile device
· track your progress and goals,
· compete in mini-challenges
· follow friends on leader boards
· and fundraise for good causes

Track Your Progress

· Steps – did you reach your daily goal?
· Total Active Time - try to reach 1 hours a day
· Active Mins – get those cardio minutes by walking a total of 45 mins a day at three miles per hour pace
· Active Hours - Stop just sitting around! Try to make 9 out of 12 hours your Active Hours. How? Do 300 steps in that hour or get a buzz reminder
· Step Average - Monitor your 7-day step average to keep you on track – no more lying to yourself, it’s all there to see
· Distance – tell your friends how far you have walked or run
· Calories – With all that hard work, check to see how many calories you may have burnt

Mini-Challenges
Mini-Challenges are great for that extra boost or getting back on track. We have six mini challenges to take and compete with friends.

24-hour Burst – Nothing says it better than an all-out push

Weekend Walkathon – Two-day challenge. Use the weekends to catch up on steps or just keep active on the quiet days

Work Week Wonder – Five-day challenge. Monday to Friday. Who’ll be champion at the end?

Full Week Monty – 7-day challenge Monday to Sunday to walk through the week

14 day Reset – Feel like a reboot? This two-week challenge is a great refresher.

30-day Rejuvenator – 30 days to get fighting fit again

Leader boards

When we take up something new, first we make a commitment, then we look for tools to help us with the challenge.

But being humans, we love to do things together. So joining a group can really help us succeed

Follow your friends on leader boards and push yourself to be No.1

You're paying a lot of money for not a great deal tbh. If you're using a Fitbit, you'll also need a third party app to get the steps into Google fit for it to work. I've finished the challenge, thought it might say well done.... Nope, do I want to do it again. Uninstall. Really basic app, worth 99p tops

Hi David. The App is event-based and supports our national challenges. (like Hadrian's Wall or Climb Kilimanjaro but many don't have tracking) As part of the package, you also receive a wide range of extras that are delivered to you in the app including Mindfulness audio and Fitness videos and workout plans. We will reach out to you

Hi Rose. We are so sorry that you encountered an issue. We wished you had sent a message to support@millionsteps.com. Adding friends is actually simple using a QR Code here https://millionsteps.ladesk.com/406559-Connect-With-Friends---Using-QR-Codes. We will try to find your account and offer you and your friends another challenge!

Sounds really great. Would love to walk for a good cause but I can't even sign up. It only has the option to login but when I try to login it says login failed. How can I create an account?
