If you join OhmConnect’s demand response program, your OhmPlug will automatically turn off during OhmConnect energy-savings events for your area unless you program your OhmPlug through the App to remain on or you use your OhmConnect account to opt your OhmPlug out of a specific event.

Ratings and reviews

Not much to this app, but given it's just a connective app for a specific smart plug, not a lot is needed. For a while, however, some firmware issues persisted between the app and the smart plug that would result in the smart plug turning off unprompted and unconnected to timed events. We would come home and discover that the fridge was off for no apparent reason (The smart plug was used with the fridge). The issue hasn't cropped up in the last few months but keep an eye on your own unit.

It's never proven it's value. Two fridges shut off for an hour when demand is high and rarely points earned or savings. Our fridge can keep food cold for a long time so it's not an issue being turned off. However, when it's hottest out demand is high, when demand is highest I'm not sure I want power out on fridge. Have tried for months, want to know how to return. The application is very basic too. The about us wouldn't scroll on my phone. I had hoped to support greening our climate.

Only after I received my plugs did I find out my phone doesn't switch to 2.5 from 5.0 on the internet speed. Now I can't return them because they were opened. I read the the information quite thoroughly before I ordered them. Now, I see that you have to make sure that the frequencies switch before hand. Also, they said you can not return them if they were opened. You were suppose to check the frequencies before hand. I feel it was a rip off. I guess if you can make it work good for you!
