It definitely mutes my microphone. The data security notes says it doesn't collect and share data. There is definitely stored data and cache data stats. I haven't figured out how to test if it's shared with 3rd parties. If it's true then it's a wonderful app.

I tested this application and found it to be completely unreliable. Before installing the app, I recorded a normal video. After installing it, I enabled the "Mute Microphone" option and then recorded another video in Hindi where I was speaking, just to check if the microphone was actually muted. However, when I reviewed the video, I noticed that my voice was still being recorded. This proves that the application does not work as claimed. It seems to be a waste of time and potentially a fraud.

All I needed was for something to mute my microphone on a discord call without it showing up on discord as me muted. this simply does that. if you're in a call and you meet your microphone through mute mic your microphone volume will be muted completely without it showing up on discord
