Ratings and reviews

Way too many alerts for people's stories. I get about 5 alerts per day for one person's updated story with no way to turn off notifications. This app has become a nuisance. Update: I've found (maybe because it was added after my original review) the story notifications option connected to my friends' profiles. Unfortunately, this function doesn't change anything. Even with story notifications turned off, I am still being bombarded with notifications. I'm fed up at this point

Honestly consistently one of the worst apps I've used. It's been slow and laggy for years and constantly needs to be force closed and reopened every few minutes just to be at all usable. It's the only app on my phone that lags or has any issues. It never gets fixed. It's been like this for like 6 or 7 years. On top of that, it's missing so many small and simple quality of life features that virtually every other comparable app has, like a scroll tab for instance. Snapchat devs are idiots.

I do not know what happened within the last few weeks, either an update or maybe I accidentally changed something in the settings, but I am not a fan of being constantly pinged for random people and their stories. I've checked settings and nothing sticks out. I'll be pinged all times of the day, even when sleeping. They are not even friends or friends of friends. If I can't fix this, I will be deleting SC and wasting the streaks I've built.
