This simple compass app is one of the best in its class. I am using it from last 7 months and never had any issue with it. It is very easy to calibrate for more accurate results. Its a shame if someone still doesn't know how to properly calibrate their mobile device sensors for more accurate results ! And Thumb's up for those who skipped paid compass app for this 100% functional and accurate simple compass app ! :)

I'm unsure about all phone compass apps, I magnetized a needle, put it through a cork & put it in a bowl of water. Placed it in the middle of the yard, moved it around to insure no electromagnetic interference. Found the app shows a 30° difference two other apps show the same. I did do the figure 8 calibration, then set the phone to airline and turned off the WIFI. Still a 30° off. Hmmm, I just compared this my property Plat it matches the needle, not the apps. Why is that?

All I can say that its simple and easy to use. I never had any issue with it after using this simple compass app for almost 5 months and it always works very accurate. Its very handy for me as a backup for navigation like if I am far away from civilization. thumb's up !
