It's a great device. But the recent requirement for persistent location data is excessive. Why do you need it all of the time, Seek? It refuses to open up less you grant it. Very in line with how they've been in the past: the app used to require you to register. Seek eventually capitulated and included the option to opt out. Hopefully they do it again. Excessive permissions lost them respect.

The app should not require you to sign in each time you use it. We are looking into this - and once you register your basic info - you no longer need to sign in or be signed in to use at any time. Stay tuned and we are looking into it immediately.

Temperatures are wildly off. Much higher than real temperatures (25C vs actual 18C in the room. It takes several minutes (10-15) for the temps to go down. If i shut the phone down and switch it on again, it's starts at high temps again. You cannot choose a range of temps. It always adjusting it. And the app cannot even take photos or videos. The button is there but pressing it leads to nothing. It used to work before but not anymore. Also, the USB connection is horrible.

App is kinda rubbish. First, it FORCES you to sign up for an account and put in all this nonsense information. I just turn off all data to use the app without signing up. Second: You can't properly use this thing in landscape since... it doesn't properly go into landscape. This means if you're projecting to another screen (like a TV monitor over WiFi or anything like that) it will always be in portrait mode. This can be a huge problem when you're on a small mobile screen (say, outdoors for hunting, home thermal checking, etc). Preferences/controls are extremely limited. No manual exposure control is a pain sometimes because it constantly tries to auto-expose... even when it would be much more helpful if it didn't sometimes.
