Updated: 10/6/24 PAY ONLY! UNINSTALL. Updated: 3/16/24 No longer shows a forecast for more than a few hours. Worthless to me now. I do not use subscription fee apps. I will be using NOAA for free from now on. Original review at 4 Stars: My biggest issue is the high price, and that it is a yearly subscription.

Thank you for your feedback, Scott. We understand your concerns about the subscription model. While we've made changes to support improvements, we still offer the NFZ map for free. Our in-house Kp forecast is the best available. We offer free trials to experience full features. We appreciate your support.

The free version no longer seems to work. The app just shows you a preview of some other location, not your own. It definitely could be worth upgrading if you're flying on a regular basis, but the official FAA apps have all the same information, minus some of the extended forecast information, so I recommend just using those.

Thanks for your feedback. You're right - we now require a subscription for real-time forecasts, though our NFZ map remains free. While FAA apps show basic weather, UAV Forecast provides unique features like winds at altitude, GPS satellites, and Kp index forecasts. It's frustrating how an app that used to be so highly rated and reviewed as one of the best tools to have when getting ready to fly your drone now has blocked it via mandatory paywall. Incredibly disappointing that even though they claim to have the free map, you can't even get to it without trying the trial. Time to uninstall.

We apologize for the frustration. The NFZ map is still free in the Map tab. We've made changes to support improvements and new features.
