Ratings and reviews

Barebones, but does what you need. The app, including the most recent update is just meh... Incredibly mediocre, no dark mode. That aside, on a good note, I don't find it to be buggy, and that is arguably the most important thing. While barebones, it has what you absolutely need. So, all-in-all, I have no real reason to not recommend it, so thumbs up for that! 👍 So give it a go.

I really liked the previous UI, and I really enjoyed the graph that showed me how much I was earning monthly, where can I find it now? The monthly interest earnings and total accrued interest information has been hidden in a more cumbersome location, click the APY section. UFB Direct is really good tho, never have had a problem with deposits or withdrawals. They don't warn you when they're reducing the APY on your account so do check monthly if that's a big factor for you.

When I first signed up I spoke to a state side rep that walked me through how their online banking works. The rep was knowledgeable and trustworthy. Fast forward 1 year, all calls are pushed through a foreign call center with a ticketing system with no immediate help available. Everything has to go through a trouble ticket, it's been weeks and I was told 2-3 days SLA on call backs for all issues. I've since emptie my savings and switched to a different HYS. The app only covers basic functions.
