The Utah State Parks Digital Annual Day-Use Pass allows day-use access to Utah State Parks for the pass holder & occupants of a single non-commercial vehicle up to 8 people (also applies to walk-ins). For bicycles, limited to 4 people. Exceptions include This is the Place Heritage Park, Jordan River OHV Park, causeway fee at Antelope Island, special events, camping, & concession activities. Pass is non-transferable and is not valid for commercial use. This pass does not guarantee entrance into the park if the park is temporarily closed due to capacity being reached. Seniors 65 years of age and over may purchase a pass at a discounted rate.

Unlike others, I didn't have problems with the app. I think the best way to go about grabbing a pass is to order online via the website, and use the order number to register the pass with the app. This way you get the best of both worlds: a physical pass to have handy, and the full year pass you get when you register. I was able to register immediately upon receiving my order confirmation.

My custom license plate has three characters. When I registered the pass online, it took the three character license plate just fine. But when I try to enter it on the app, it requires four characters. And when I just add a random character, it won't accept it because it doesn't match. Government incompetence once again shows its ugly face.

Hi Dave, we apologize for this inconvenience. We are releasing the 2.0 version of the app which will allow license plates with three characters. Be sure to update your app in the next couple days!

I'm not saying the app doesn't work. We purchased a physical annual pass and registered our card online, then the little cardholder told us that we could have a digital copy through this app. So, we did what you're about to do and downloaded the app. The cardholder provides the number necessary and you fill in the rest with what you registered the card with. We made several attempts, but the app didn't recognize what was entered, so instead we carry the card and deleted the app. Enjoy

What’s new

2026 Utah State Parks passes are now available for purchase in the app. We’ve streamlined the checkout flow to make is faster and easier to buy a pass and connect it to the app. A new in-app help section makes it simpler to find answers and support. We’ve also refreshed the UI throughout the app for a cleaner experience.
