One point because the app gets the location even while closed, every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day. That behavior is not necessary for their use case, they could just use a foreground service while the user performs a monitoring task and don't demand all-the-time location access to even use the app. The developer says they doesn't collect any data, but they are lying, the Android 12 location usage log exposes them.

All collected data are stored and used locally only. Location permission is required not only for location, but also to get cell id (Android requirement). In background Geo location is activated only with active recording. In other cases Geo location is switched off in background. If you do not trust app just uninstall it.

It shows signal info incorrectly on 2-sim devices, Android 10. At least on Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. There are a lot of info on the main screen belongs to SIM2: U2100, MCC MNC and so on. But Net Data Type and operator's name belongs to SIM1. The app doesn't display neighbours' source SIM. When I try to change mode in settings or enable dual SIM option - signal info is shown correctly, but neighbours is disappeared) I think app named "Network Cell Info Lite" shows signal info and neighbours much more correctly and detailed. But cell tower location on map is shown almost perfectly by app "Cell Tower Locator" from this developer. By the way, this app makes you give permission to your location all the time, it doesn't allow give permission to your location "while-in-use only" like other apps. Sad

Full dual SIM support in Pro version only. Use Dual SIM mode in app settings for correct representation of serving cell. Location permission in background mode is required for correct work of widgets, notifications and background recording.

This is an excellent app. I'm reviewing all these as a telecoms engineer used to using the likes of Aston tems and professional test handsets. The one thing missing from this is showing the LTE CQI. That one thing means it's not the best app out there. But, that said, it's very well laid out, the surveying and survey playback is good and if guys you add cqi as its available then it'll be unbeatable

Thank you! I use devices based on Qualcomm chipsets. They never report CQI. Most of reference Google devices are based on Qualcomm. As I know Huawei devices do not show CQI too. This is the reason why I do not use CQI. Pro version of app has no CQI too. Sorry. If you will have questions email me.
