As the Merchant, you are the commander of your own domain!

Blending together traditional RPG systems, management mechanics, and a fantasy overworld, Merchant aims to reimagine the traditional mobile RPG. In Merchant, players take the role of a shopkeeper who must manage a team of Heroes and Crafters. Heroes are sent out on quests in order to fight enemies and gather materials. Crafters then use those materials to create weapons and armor. As the shopkeeper, players must balance their micro-economies between selling items for gold and crafting items to better ensure success for the Heroes.

Ratings and reviews

Honestly very disappointed at the state of the game. Played the game in beta and had a blast. Once full release came, the devs consistently soft locked the progress behind "Community goals." These goals unlock little to no real progression. You would have to wait at least a week before anything was released that allowed you to craft better gear for your characters. The inventory system is terrible. You get enough space to hold like 60% of the items available in the game so it's a chore to manage

It's good, and I like that it feels like a normal game instead of a cash grab. I do really wish there was a way to start over. I feel like I made a few mistakes on this run that I can't go back and redo now that I've learned how to play better. It slowed down my gameplay later on because I didn't realize certain items were necessary and sold them and now going back to grind them is taking a long time. So yeah, my suggestion would be either a new save or a wipe save button.

Game seems OK at first glance but there is a major technical oversight that makes no not want to play it. I use a Samsung A53 which has a longer display than most phones and for some games there's empty space at the top and bottom to accommodate for that. This game on the other hand stretches everything to fit the entire screen which ruins everything.
