Great riichi mahjong game. Definitely go through both sets of tutorials, and the guard rails in place make sure you can learn the game effectively without too much confusion. After learning the basic rules the most important think is to learn all the different yaku (hands) that you can play. Start out playing friendly matches against ai with plenty of turn time. My only criticism is that you cannot access the yaku list in friendly matches as far as I can tell. Edit: WRONG! Gear>others>view yaku.

Definitely a.fun game, the mechanics are simple, if you have played rummy then it is very similar. The emotes are definitely one of the big reasons I play this game, very emotive and personalized to the character you play. 5 dollars will get you a 10 pull if you do the pass. The timers are well crafted and designed and after playing a few dozen games you shoukd get the hang of playing. Personally I recommend 3 player because usually 4 player takes a great bit longer due to more considerations.

I love the Mahjong Soul service, but this app refuses to run on my phone. My Internet is fine, and I have tried a VPN like requested under other reviews. Consistently, there is just a loading screen (no bar or anything just a wallpaper) and I can't do anything. I have waited and it does nothing. I have contacted support and no response yet (they are in Hong Kong so according to their site, they only respond from 10pm to 6am converted to EST). Will change/delete review if it works.
