MEATER® is the world’s first Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer that can help you cook meats perfectly every time.

The MEATER® app, together with the MEATER® meat thermometer (sold separately at https://meater.com/shop) will change the way you cook your meals, and make it a new and exciting experience. Using patented software algorithms, the MEATER® app will give you cook time estimates, and guide you towards the juiciest steak, chicken, turkey, fish or other cut of meat that you've ever cooked.

Ratings and reviews

The probe and the app are amazing. I've used it several times to cook streak and prone rib. It's easy to use, easy to clean. You can select the type of meat your cooking from the app and it tells you the internal temp, the ambient temp of the oven, all presented in a well organized graph format. Once the cook is setup I can monitor everything from my phone and either go take a nap for long cook times or do anything else. Would recommend to anyone who loves bbq.

Bought a Meater block for $300 thinking it would be elite. Probes constantly lose connection with the block so my phone blows up nonstop with disconnect and reconnect alerts during every cook. I thought I could fix it by keeping an iPad at the grill, but because the "meater cloud" functionality is so bad, I can never get remote data anyways. On top of that the ambient temp is a useless feature. Its always wrong because its too close to the meat. Would not recommend or buy again.

The app isn't bad, but getting the probe to connect to the phone is hit or miss at best. Also, their support system has a timer, so you have to start the ticketing process over if you miss a follow up email from them for more than a couple days. Edit: I originally reached out during that window and got a response by email that included advice from your website, a request to prove what was in the ticket, and a message saying that if I didn't respond quickly enough that the ticket would be closed
