When it works, it’s great. But far too much of the time, it doesn’t. As a result, it’s been a huge frustration, time drain, and we’re frequently without heating and/or hot water. App fine but SRV and wireless smart thermostat are constantly dropping off the network. The boiler is frequently not triggered at all. Expert heating engineers have confirmed the problem lies with data. However, tado support is online online, is slow and generally unhelpful.

Missing tons of features. From one hand the equipment is limited to 25 degrees. You can't also set the limits by the physical thermostat to a certain range (e.g. I have guests and I don't want them to set the heating to over 22 degrees). The analysis is so basic and the reading is often not precise. For such expensive hardware, I expect a better software.

Upgrading v3 to v3+ feels a bit like a let down. Yes the interface looks nice. But most of the features are just fanzy signs saying it's automatic set, no info's or manual options. And the outside temperature on you control screens are gone. So paying 20 $ for something that feel less, is bit of a let down. From the promotional materials you get the sense v3+ gives "more control" but that control most be with tado, Cuz you don't get it as the user...
