Really easy to install and operate, the UI is really clean and easy to navigate, wifey love the fact she can send a message to the house and set the temperature from wherever she is. This app also works with Alexa I haven't tried Google home. Just a few features that I would like to see, if the temperature was going to be lower than the day before and your rejuiced the temperature, a automatic algorithm should say the temperature set is too low and that it should change it to your comfortable setting.
Needs an Android Wear app and ability to edit zones. Otherwise nicely done. Smart schedule could be more prominent. Statistics lack detail, portrait mode is broken, the scale is to broad (should be 2 hours instead of four). Yesterday the whole setup went dark, all thermostats lost cloud connection and I only realised it late in the evening. No notification, no smart reset from the cloud. Just dead and cold rooms. Also, after about a month it still doesn't manage to heat up our living room in time in the morning. The software isn't smart at all it just doesn't learn that we have a floor heating that takes time. A simple heating selection could do wonders...
Had it for over a year now. Never had a single issue with it. Works flawlessly with multiple zones, boiler fires up a few seconds after upping the temp and GPS has always been accurate. Smart programs are so useful as you're never wasting heat if you're not in.
Very Nice app. Would welcome a video on how to set up on timer as currently on Manual mode. Written instructions not easy to follow
One year on and I think the while setup is simply amazing. I'm not going to waste time listing the same great features that others have already. Tado is a superb add-on to our new central heating system, and the whole family appreciates enormously. 👍
Really enjoying the Tado setup having decided on this over Honeywell Evohome. (Tado uses "Mesh" connectivity for their radiator valves, which in my house with thick walls always causing connectivity issues, was a big pro over the Honeywell hub/spoke setup where every radiator valve had to communicate back to a central hub). The app gives great control over smart thermostat, hot water via the extension kit and individual radiators. Love the graphs showing heat called from the boiler over the course of the day. The app could do with some more functionality around the smart schedules, such as copying in and out different saved schedules for different scenarios. Also would be useful for me to be able to set some zones with custom geofencing options based on one family member. For example, I use a home office, but have no need to heat it when I'm away but my family is at home. Have got around this so far using Google Calendar, some location events and IFTTT. Great to see a roadmap of possible upcoming features posted on their website as well. Well done Tado, keep it up! Looking forward to see how the app evolves over time.
