I love this TextNow app. It really is free but you have the option to pay if you want to hold on to your number even if you're not going to be using it for sometime and other upgrades. The upgrades aren't necessary but text now really does offer a free phone number when you're in the Wi-Fi area. No hidden costs. They are upfront. I chose to pay for my phone number so I could hold on to it and since I trust text now there's no other place I would have preferred to use the service

Terrible call quality. After I made my first phone call and hung up to text, it made another call without me dialing it. Now every time I open the app, simply to use it, it automatically dials the # and I'm unable to end the call, it makes me look like a stalker. I'm pissed. Yea, it's 3.99, but I'll try another app that's cheaper and functions properly. Fix the glitches.

Seems like garbage after you pay/subscribe and expect to know your number there is nothing to show. You attempt to make a call and it cancels same time.
