Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy; one of the world's classic parlour board games, played for recreation and gambling. Like Mahjong, Backgammon is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically, variants of this game are believed to have been played in Mesopotamia and Egypt thousands of years ago, then by the Romans and later in India. It also spread to East Asia, but was largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the West.

Great game but I have to agree that something odd is going on when I play level 7. It appears that it is not a matter of the computer being more skillful, but rather the odds are in its favor. Dice rolls are constantly what it needs and it gets out much easier than I ever do, especially when only one slot is open. I find myself cursing at my phone way too often.

It's a great game been playing it for years, something recently happened with the level 7 ai. After 200ish games the AI almost seems to be able to control not only it's dice but mine as well. Statistics don't lie. Still a great game just play the first 6. I will check the tests thanks. And don't get me wrong I don't care if it did cheat I enjoy the challenge. I only play on 7 :). It's still my favorite game!

This is the best version of Backgammon you can play on your phone. I've been enjoying this app for many years, first playing on the earliest Kindle Fire. The core feel of this app hasn't changed over the years. The cleanest, crispest graphics with sounds that are authentic but not loud or annoying. I enjoyed reading the notes about the AI engine that was used (provided freely with a link in the app). PAY THE SMALL PREMIUM FOR THE AD FREE VERSION! It is well worth it!
