BOXREP is an interval timer for boxing, CrossFit, and home workouts.
It does one thing well: it never misses a cue.
Put the phone in your pocket, turn the screen off, and the beeps and vibrations keep coming — round after round, to the second.
WHAT YOU CAN BUILD
• Interval sequences — Tabata, boxing rounds, EMOM, HIIT
• AMRAP and For Time, with a tap-to-count round counter
• Warm-up and cool-down that sit outside the repeat
• Mid-interval cues — a beep every 30 seconds inside a 3-minute round
• Up to 25 intervals per sequence, repeated up to 99 times
WHILE YOU TRAIN
• Numbers you can read from three metres away
• Colour-coded phases — work and rest tell apart at a glance
• Screen lock, so a stray touch cannot end your session
• Your music keeps playing; cues duck it for a moment instead of stopping it
• An incoming call will not derail it — timing continues and cues stay on vibration until the call ends
WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
• A home screen widget starts your preset in one tap
• The notification shows the current phase and time left, with pause and skip
AFTER THE SESSION
• Every workout is saved with rounds completed and total time
• Weekly totals and a streak, kept on your device
BUILT FOR RELIABILITY
Most timer apps get killed in the background. BOXREP runs as a foreground service on a monotonic clock, so cues stay accurate even with the screen off and the phone in a pocket.
Not sure it holds up on your phone? Settings has a 30-second background check that measures it and shows you the result.
FREE
Everything above is free. No ads. No subscription. No account.
BOXREP Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited advanced sequences and the CrossFit WOD library.
HOW IT RUNS
While a workout is active, BOXREP runs a foreground service with an ongoing notification. That is what keeps the timing accurate when the screen is off. It stops the moment the workout ends.
To survive aggressive power saving on some phones, BOXREP can ask to be exempted from battery optimisation. This is optional — the timer works without it, but cues may be delayed on certain devices.
BOXREP Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not expire and it does not renew.
Interval timer for boxing and CrossFit. Cues keep firing with the screen off.
