Hiragana Katakana Starter is a tool created to help you learn Japanese hiragana and katakana. This tool starts off by teaching you hiragana a few characters at a time. There are a few different test modes so you don't get bored. Once you've mastered hiragana the tools will move on to katakana with the same process.

It is recommended that you use this application before moving onto Kana Draw to finalize your knowledge with written skills.

FAQ

Many have brought up the fact that ぢ and づ characters are not working when input is 'ji' and 'dzu' respectively. The reason for this is that if you want to create this characters on a qwerty keyboard you can't type 'ji' and 'dzu'. You must type 'di' and 'du'. Sorry for the confusion and limitation.
