Social capital is created in private, well-curated small groups, where friends share a sense of purpose, trust and support each other, and reciprocate each other's support. Social capital is augmented when individuals link different small groups by brokering connections and transactions between them.
Cliq enables that: Build your own closed clique with your business friends to support each other. In your clique, you can exchange favors, organize collective actions, and find more people for the purpose of your cliques.
Unlike messaging or social media apps, the focus of Cliq is on transactions (like favors and collective actions) that enable users to build social capital without the distraction of messaging and media. Also, with the ability to forward favor requests from one cliq to another, users get exposure to other cliqs of users that are otherwise unreachable to them. The app also includes a recommendation engine that suggests favor requests to users depending on their profiles and suggests users for specific favor requests.
