January 2026: I stopped using Groupon for a while, only, because of money issues. Iust started again because it's a great app, and you save a ton of money. Easy to use, detailed straight forward description of the deal you're purchasing. The only issue I've ever had was remembering to use the impulse deals I purchase, lol. June 2016: A variety of things for great prices at different places, lots of different deals for weight loss programs.

Feels scammy. Tons of hidden fees. I tried to get a massage, the masseuse was booked months out. Not to mention there was an additional deposit fee in the fine print. I tried to get a refund within an hour of purchase, Groupon did everything it could to give me useless Groupon bucks instead of my money back. I had to contact support and deal with their AI chatbot before I got my money back. I do not recommend.

First deal was for a permanently closed business. I couldn't get my money back and had to accept "bucks." My second deal was not a deal because of course I checked their website and the merchant price was the same as the "awesome deal." Still couldn't get my money back. Finally found a deal further away from my house. It's been an epic waste of time and money. Also the AI chat bot is annoying because when trying to respond in the text box, it keeps adding random spaces.
