Alive — From today on, let your existence be seen

Living alone doesn’t mean being isolated. Alive is a lightweight safety-status tool designed for people who live alone. Through a non-intrusive system of Check-ins + Anomaly Alerts + Emergency Contacts, it adds an invisible layer of protection to your solitary life. When you’re fine, it’s almost invisible; if you go quiet, it sends a timely alert on your behalf.

Core features

Safety countdown check-in
Set a check-in interval (e.g., 24h/48h/custom). Each time you open the app or tap “Check in,” it counts as a check-in and resets the countdown.

Quiet protection with gentle nudges
A minimal starry-sky interface with soothing breathing light effects that stays out of the way. As a deadline nears or you forget to check in, the system gives you a lightweight reminder to bring your attention back.

Automatic notifications for missed check-ins
When the countdown hits zero or you miss check-ins for multiple days, Alive will, per your settings, automatically email your designated emergency contacts with your latest status and a prewritten message, sending an early signal that something may be wrong. Supports multiple contacts with optional tiered notifications.

Define your own safety boundaries
You decide what counts as an “anomaly”: check-in interval, grace period, reminder frequency, nighttime Do Not Disturb, and more—flexibly set to fit your rhythm.

Ready to use, zero learning curve
No signup or login required. On first open, enter your emergency contacts’ names and emails to start. After that, tap once daily to check in—background monitoring runs automatically, with no change to your routine.

Privacy and security

No location tracking; we collect no data unrelated to core functionality
Contact info and check-in records are encrypted at rest and in transit
Prewritten messages can be stored locally and with end-to-end encryption in the cloud, sent only if an emergency is triggered

Our message
We sincerely hope Alive will always be just an “ornament” on your phone—never actually triggered. But if that day ever comes, at least it can reliably deliver “I’m okay/I need help” on your behalf, saying the words you didn’t have time to say.
