PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS DISCLOSURE:

FocusNow requires specific permissions to function effectively as a distraction blocker. All blocking happens locally on your device.

⚠️ ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API:
FocusNow uses the Accessibility Service API to detect which app is currently active on your screen. This allows us to:
1. Instantly show a blocking overlay when you open a distracting app you have chosen to restrict.
2. Prevent "Strict Mode" sessions from being cancelled prematurely.
No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted via the Accessibility Service. It is strictly used to identify the package name of the foreground app for blocking purposes.

🔒 VPN SERVICE:
To provide robust network blocking, FocusNow utilizes the Android VPN Service. This creates a local loopback (blackhole) connection that blocks internet access ONLY for the specific apps you have selected. Your traffic is NOT routed to any remote server and remains 100% private and on-device.

📱 DRAW OVER OTHER APPS:
Required to display the blocking screen (overlay) on top of distracting apps.

🔔 NOTIFICATIONS:
We need this permission to show you a persistent notification ("Focus Mode Active") which keeps the blocking service running reliably in the background.

📊 USAGE STATS:
This permission allows FocusNow to see *only* how much time you spend in each app (e.g., "30 mins on Instagram"). We use this to calculate your daily limits and show you productivity reports. We do NOT see what you do inside the apps (no messages, no passwords).

⏳ FOREGROUND SERVICE:
This ensures the app doesn't get "killed" by the system while you are in a Focus Session, allowing the timer to run accurately.
