App demands to agree to all permissions, until its done app doesnt start. There is lack of flexibility and freedom to users. Cant even skip the last name. Many contact details are still not available. It just irritates rather than helping. Only thing i liked is direct whatsapp message. Rest need good improvements, keep it user friendly.

Unless the code is open sourced, there is no way I am giving access to my contacts. Why do you mandate access to the dialer and contacts to use the app. Can't trust a random app that says we don't sync contacts. Remove the unnecessary restrictions, make it available for the users to search for a number manually and get the details if you really are advocating for privacy.

Access to contacts is optional in the Naam app; manual number searches are available. We recommend exploring the app for a more comprehensive experience before forming opinions. We believe you'll find it to be a valuable tool.

If it's privacy friendly, 1. Why does it force us to set it as default spam protection app? 2. Why does it force us to register with a phone number. 3. Why does it force to read call logs? All of that should be optional. The only reason I want to use this Naam App is to search the Naam of the unknown numbers manually. But this app asks for a lot of permissions that aren't necessary. People should be able to download this app and just search any number without all the extra steps.

Thank you for your feedback! Here's why we ask for these permissions: Default Spam Protection App: The app needs to be set as the default to detect/block calls and show pop-ups. Phone Number Registration: This helps prevent unauthorized logins. Call Logs: We need access to identify and show info for unknown numbers in your call history.
