Off Grid AI runs models on your hardware and keeps your work moving between the phone and laptop you pair. It is the foundation for a private AI chief of staff: your context stays on hardware you control.

PRIVATE CROSS-DEVICE SYNC

With Off Grid AI Pro, pair up to five devices. Your chats, projects, model settings, generated media, and chat attachments stay in step. You can also move copied text, new screenshots, new downloads, files, and compatible installed models.

Transfers are encrypted between paired devices. No Off Grid AI server receives or stores your synced content.

DOWNLOADS SYNC ON ANDROID

When you enable Downloads Sync, Off Grid AI checks your Downloads folder at startup, when you return to the app, and when you tap Scan now. It sends new completed files to the paired devices you selected. Files that were present before you enabled the feature are not sent. You can stop watching at any time.

Downloads Sync covers PDFs, documents, ZIP archives, AI model files, images, audio, and video. Android media access shows only media. All files access is required so this core Sync source can include non-media files. Off Grid AI limits this reading to the public Downloads folder.

PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE

Model inference, document parsing, transcription, and retrieval run on your device. Synced content moves between paired devices over encrypted routes and is not stored on an Off Grid AI server.

Ratings and reviews

The chat is good but I am inable to create images. i have uploaded a model but seems to be no way of getting it to work. Aprompt in the chat just leads to the answer I am not an image generator. Bit lost but no obvious help anywhere. Also I want to edit and refine existing images but this also seems not to be possilble. any ideas would be most useful. Thank you for the support it works now me being daft!

Update: Reduced to 3 stars because it doesn't pick up all models on remote servers, nor their skills. Even very common ones. Awesome app. It has most of what I've been looking for that no other app has or at least has functioning correctly. It would be a lot better with the pro features, hopefully i can get those and contribute to the repo as well with some of my own ideas.

It's pretty good, and the auto scan network is a nice convenience; I have two issues with the app, though. The first is that the self advertisements for pro (overpriced) are annoying, the second is that you can't export chat history as far as I can tell.
