About this app

Step into a story and play the lead.
In unplot, you write what your character says and does, and the world responds. Meet the cast, navigate a difficult conversation, or take a chance on an unexpected plan. What happens next grows from the way you play.

FIND YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE
✦ Explore fantasy, romance, sci-fi, mystery, thriller, martial arts, and more. Follow the mood you're in, from quiet everyday moments to a sprawling quest.
✦ Each story has its own cast and setting. Get to know the people you meet, build trust, create tension, and discover where those relationships lead.

STORIES THAT REMEMBER
✦ Build a history that carries into later chapters. unplot keeps a scene-by-scene story log, character journals, and the lore of your world to bring earlier moments back into the unfolding story.
✦ The record includes relationships, places, belongings, and even who knows a secret.
✦ Revisit your Story So Far whenever you want to catch up. Read or edit the journals to shape what the story remembers.

EXPLORE THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
✦ Curious how a different reply might change a scene? Create a branch from your conversation to explore another path. Approach a character differently, test an idea, or take the plot in a new direction.

CREATE A WORLD OF YOUR OWN
✦ Start with a character, a setting, or an idea you want to explore. Define the personalities, relationships, and rules that give your story its identity.
✦ Use Personas to establish who you are in the story, and User Notes to keep the background and details you want it to follow. Shape a setting you can return to and develop over time.

Find a story that draws you in, or create the one you've been imagining.
